Are botanical prints still in style?

Yes. Botanical wall art remains one of the most consistently popular decorating choices because plant and flower imagery works with almost any palette. The current look leans modern rather than strictly antique: simplified leaf shapes, graphic line work, soft earthy tones and monochrome compositions alongside more traditional watercolor florals. That range is why they keep appearing in contemporary interiors year after year.

What's the difference between modern and vintage botanical prints?

Vintage-style botanical prints echo the scientific illustration tradition of the 1600s to 1900s: detailed specimens, labeled species, aged paper tones and formal framing. Modern botanicals borrow the subject but simplify it, using bold color blocks, abstracted leaf and stem shapes, minimal line drawings or typography. Vintage reads classic and library-like; modern reads cleaner and pairs more easily with contemporary furniture and neutral walls.
