About This Art

Black frame or no frame, that is the whole decision here. In a black frame the ink lines carry on to the edge and the piece reads as one tall graphic object, which is what a narrow strip of wall beside the kitchen door needs. Go frameless and the sand ground melts into a plaster wall, so the orange and teal float on their own. Both work. Choose by the wall. Painted plaster in off-white wants the black edge for definition. A wall already tiled in white or glazed green wants the softer unframed version so the kitchen does not get louder. Keep the width honest. At 40cm across it still holds a hallway from the far end. Hang it so the top sits a little above head height, and give it the whole slot. On premium fine-art paper under acrylic glazing the black lines stay crisp from the doorway.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the orange fight with a wooden kitchen?

Against pale oak or birch it sits comfortably, because the sand ground is close to the wood tone and the orange reads as a single warm accent. Against dark walnut or cherry it gets hotter and the kitchen starts to feel heavy. If your units are dark, hang it on a white or beige painted wall away from the woodwork and let the teal bowl cool things down.

How wide does it need to be for a hallway?

Aim for at least 40cm across, which gives roughly 80cm of height in this format. Any smaller and the black lines blur into one dark scribble from the front door. In a long corridor go to 50cm wide so the stacked shapes read clearly from the far end. Leave a hand's width of clear wall each side so the tall edge is obvious.

Is it too busy for a small kitchen?

The ground is mostly plain sand, so more than half the surface is quiet even though the middle is lively. In a small kitchen the trick is to give it a wall with nothing else on it and keep the worktop below clear. Treat it as the one loud thing in the room and it makes a compact galley feel considered rather than cluttered.
