About This Art

Hang this where the warm afternoon light hits and the rust sharpens. In low light the top reads as quiet cream and grey-green; by late afternoon the bottom half warms right up and the whole wall feels heavier and cosier. It gives a plain room texture without adding pattern or a subject to think about. Best above a sofa, a bed or a sideboard, at a size big enough to let the brushmarks breathe. Pair it with bouclé, aged leather, linen and warm brown wood, plus a couple of stoneware pots in clay tones. Don't crowd it with busy florals or sharp graphic prints — it needs clear wall on either side to do its job. On canvas the raised brushwork reads as real paint from across the room.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the texture actually show, or does it look flat once printed?

The brushmarks are captured in the image itself, so you see every ridge and edge of paint rather than a smooth wash. On fine-art paper the edges stay sharp and crisp; on canvas the marks read as real paint from a couple of metres back. Go large rather than small and the effect is much stronger.

Is it too busy for a small room?

It is a busy piece, so give it room. In a small bedroom or study, keep it as the only art on that wall and leave clear space either side. It works better as one larger piece than a small one — small sizes compress the marks and the colour drift gets lost.

Which way up should it hang?

As shown, with the cream and grey-green at the top and the rust and deep red at the base. That order matters: the pale top lifts the wall and the warm base grounds it near your furniture. Turning it over makes the piece feel top-heavy and the drift stops working.
