About This Art

Too much beige. Not enough soft sage green. This fixes that. A hand-drawn corner scene of a little bookshop and coffee house softens a room that has gone too flat and too plain. The warm brown brick, cream shopfront and gentle sage window frames add gentle detail without shouting for attention. It works best above a reading chair, a small writing desk, or in a hallway that could do with a bit of warmth. Pair it with linen, oak or walnut, aged leather and stoneware in earth tones. Skip it if your room is already leaning bold, glossy or high-contrast — this piece is quiet and wants a quiet room to sit in. Printed on premium fine-art paper for a soft, tactile finish.

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the soft colours still read on a cream or off-white wall?

Yes. The illustration has enough warm brown and gentle sage detail to hold its own against cream and off-white walls. On a very pale wall an oak or warm wood frame will help give it a bit more definition and stop the edges disappearing into the paint.

Is this a good fit for a small hallway?

It's a good fit for narrow hallways. The portrait shape works well above a slim console or shoe bench, and the quiet palette won't overwhelm a tight space. A medium size, hung at eye level, tends to sit best.

Does the style suit a modern home or is it too cottagey?

It leans warm and hand-drawn rather than full cottage. In a modern home with oak, linen and stoneware it reads as a soft, characterful accent. It's less at home in high-gloss, high-contrast or very minimal white-and-black interiors.
