About This Art
From the doorway, the loose scribbled outline reads clean. Up close, not polite. Hundreds of fast black pen lines pile up into a standing terrier, and the closer you get the more the drawing comes apart in a good way. On the wall it does the job a photograph can't: it gives a room personality without adding colour. Hang it in a hallway at eye level, on a study wall behind a desk, or above a low sideboard in the living room. It sits happily with linen, leather, painted wood and plain ceramics. Don't crowd it with other busy black-and-white line work, and skip a heavy patterned wallpaper behind it — the drawing needs empty wall to breathe. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Will the dog still look like a border terrier from across the room?
Yes, as long as you go medium or larger. The tangle of lines resolves into the terrier's shape from about a metre and a half back, with the ears, beard and high tail all clear. At the smallest sizes the thin strokes start to merge, so the outline reads as a soft grey shape rather than a dog.
Does it work on a dark or strongly coloured wall?
It can, but you lose some of the drawing. The white background becomes a bright block against a dark wall, which pulls attention away from the lines. If your wall is deep green, navy or charcoal, a frame with a generous white border helps it feel intentional. On pale, chalky or plain painted walls it looks best with no extra help.
Can I hang it with other animal art without it looking like a pet shop?
Keep the company quiet. One or two calm neighbours work well: a simple line drawing, a plain typographic piece or a black-and-white photograph. Avoid pairing it with another dense scribble or a colourful animal illustration, because two busy pieces side by side cancel each other out and the terrier stops being the thing you notice.
