About This Art

Give this the bed. A low headboard in oat linen is the one thing it needs beneath it, because the bed is the widest flat line in the room and the sea wants a shoreline to sit on. Hang it so the bottom edge clears the headboard by a hand's width. The turquoise then carries the eye up and the soft pink settles onto the linen like water meeting sand. White cotton bedding keeps the room breathing. One lamp on each side, nothing tall on the bedside tables. Skip cushions in a competing blue. Morning light from a side window picks up the thick brushwork and the whole wall looks fresh before you have made the bed. Stretched over a wooden frame, the canvas reads as a painting from across the room.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the turquoise clash with a grey bedroom?

Cool greys work well. Dove grey or blue-grey walls sit close enough to the pale foam tones that the turquoise reads as a deeper note of the same family. Warm greys with a brown base are harder, because the pink sand starts to look muddy beside them. If your grey leans warm, add white bedding between the wall and the bed to reset the eye.

How large should I go above a king-size bed?

Aim for roughly two thirds the width of the bed, so around 120cm across for a standard UK king. At that size the small surfers stay visible from the doorway and the wave holds the wall on its own. Going smaller leaves the headboard looking wider than the art, which makes the whole wall feel unbalanced.

Does the pink sand read as pink on the wall?

Softly. In daylight the bottom band reads as a warm shell pink, closer to plaster than to a nursery colour. Under warm evening bulbs it leans peach. It gives the cool water something to rest on, so the piece never feels cold. Pair it with oat or white linen and the pink becomes a quiet echo rather than a feature.
