About This Art

This isn't wall filler. It's soft pink with a point of view. The hill of Alfama tumbles down the page in pastel houses, terracotta rooftops, palm trees and a white church on the skyline. Put it up and a flat hallway suddenly has somewhere it's been. The colours are quiet enough to live with every day but lively enough to do real work. Best on a light or off-white wall where the pinks, sage and warm cream get room to breathe. Sits well above a console, a slim sideboard, or at the top of a staircase. Pair with light oak, linen, rattan and a stoneware lamp. Skip the heavy mahogany and the dark walls — this one wants daylight. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

Are the buildings in the print actually from Lisbon?

Yes — the scene is the Alfama district, the oldest part of Lisbon. The white twin-towered church at the top is in the style of the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, with the tiled and pastel-painted houses tumbling down the hill below it, palm trees and all.

Will the soft pinks look washed out on a white wall?

No, the off-white background and the pink and terracotta rooftops actually need a pale wall to come alive. Against off-white or warm cream paint, the colours read clearly. On a stark cool white they can look slightly cooler but still hold their own.

Does the print work without the LISBON Portugal text at the bottom?

The text is part of the artwork and stays. It sits in a small, calm typographic block well below the illustration, so it reads as a travel-poster label rather than dominating the image. If you'd prefer no text, this isn't the right print.
