About This Art

Some dog portrait prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. The scribble is loose and fast, but the dog reads instantly from across the room, and that jolt of black on white pulls every eye off the sofa cushions. Hang it in a hallway, a study, or on the stretch of living-room wall beside a doorway where people pass close enough to follow the tangle of lines. Keep the setting simple: white or pale grey walls, black or chrome fittings, pale wood, plain textiles. Don't crowd it with patterned wallpaper or busy florals, because the lines lose their punch. A slim black frame with premium acrylic glazing keeps the edges crisp.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will it still look like a cockapoo from across the room?

Yes. The scribble is dense enough that the shape of the head, the shaggy coat and the standing pose read clearly from a few metres away, while up close you see the individual loops instead. Just avoid the smallest sizes, where the lines start to merge into a solid dark mass and the outline gets lost.

Does it work in a room that already has colour on the walls?

It can, as long as the wall is a flat colour rather than a pattern. Deep grey, sage and navy all hold black linework well. Bear in mind the white background will read as a bright block against a dark wall, so treat that contrast as deliberate. On busy wallpaper the scribble competes and both lose.

Can I hang it with other dog prints?

Yes, but keep the group small and stick to black and white. Two or three pieces with plenty of bare wall between them works best, with this one as the largest. Mixing it with coloured or realistic pet portraits makes the arrangement look unplanned, because the scribble style is quite distinct.
