About This Art

Not because it's terracotta, but because it refuses to fade back. Put it up in a kitchen or dining room and the whole corner warms by a few degrees — the brown table tones pull the room together while the terracotta sleeves and mustard top keep the eye moving. Hang it at eye level on a short stretch of wall, beside a doorway, or above a sideboard where people gather rather than pass through. Pair it with warm wood, rush seating, stoneware and oatmeal linen. Keep the wall around it simple: one shelf of ceramics is plenty. Don't crowd it with busy pattern or cool grey-blue art, and skip a glossy black setting — the soft, chalky surface wants a warmer edge. On fine-art paper the grainy, hand-drawn texture reads clearly up close.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the large brown areas look flat on a dark wall?

On a very dark wall the brown table reads as one mass and the terracotta sleeves do most of the work. It still looks good, just moodier. If you want the face and cup to stand out, hang it on a warm cream, oatmeal or clay-painted wall and give it a lighter frame edge.

Is it too quiet to be a focal point?

No. The terracotta shapes are large and confident, so from across a room you read those first and the face second. It holds a short wall or a sideboard on its own at medium size. Keep the wall around it clear and it becomes the thing people look at.

Does it work in a kitchen with grey cabinets?

It can, as long as the grey is warm rather than blue-toned. Bridge the two with wood and earthenware — a chopping board, a terracotta pot, a stoneware jug. With cool blue-grey units the browns can look muddy, so try it on the wall furthest from the cabinets.
