About This Art

Nothing in this mustard and deep blue palette whispers, even when the kitchen does. The dog stares out with painterly confidence, painted in thick brushwork and warm colour blocks. Hang it and a flat wall starts working harder — the yellow lifts daylight, the orange warms the corners, and the dark blue gives the eye somewhere to rest. It suits a kitchen, a hallway, or a kids' room that wants character without going twee. Pair it with oak, linen, stoneware and a few green plants. Avoid stacking it next to other loud pieces; this one wants room to breathe. On premium fine-art paper, the brush texture and colour shifts come through cleanly.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the yellow background as bright in person as it looks on screen?

Yes, the yellow is genuinely warm and saturated, balanced by the dark blue of the dog and a deep orange block on the left. It's a punchy piece — colour is the point. If you want something quieter, this isn't it; if you want a room to lift, it does the job.

Will this read as a portrait of my dog, or just a generic dog?

It reads as a painterly terrier-type dog with a strong dark mask and white blaze — closer to a Jack Russell or Fox Terrier than a specific breed study. Buyers tend to love it for the energy and brushwork rather than as a likeness, so don't expect a recognisable match to your own dog.

Does the strong orange on the left throw the composition off-balance?

No — the orange block on the left and the yellow on the right are weighted to frame the dog's face, with the dark blue head sitting just off-centre. The eye lands on the muzzle and travels up. Hang it centred on the wall and the balance reads naturally.
