About This Art

From the doorway, the hard-edged blocks read clean. Up close, not polite. The grid dissolves into leaves, blossom and shadow, and the whole wall gains texture without gaining noise. Hang it where a room has gone flat: a quiet living room corner, above a low sideboard, or on the wall behind a desk. The olive and grey-green sit happily with linen, pale timber and matt ceramics, and it holds its own against a chalky off-white or soft green wall. Keep the surrounding surfaces simple. Skip busy patterned wallpaper, competing florals and heavy gilt detailing next to it, or the layering turns to clutter. On fine-art paper the small colour shifts and speckled edges stay crisp.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will it read as a mess from across the room?

No. From a few metres away the colour blocks take over and the piece reads as a calm grid of green and grey. The leaf and blossom detail only appears as you walk closer. That is why it suits a wall people pass or sit near, rather than one you only ever see from the far side of a room.

Does it work in a room that already has lots of houseplants?

Yes, and it usually looks better for it. The greens here are muted and slightly grey, so they sit behind real foliage rather than competing with it. Keep a little clear wall between the print and any tall plants so the leaf shapes in the artwork still register on their own.

What wall colour suits it best?

Chalky off-white, warm grey and soft sage all work well. Off-white gives the blocks the sharpest edges; sage makes the whole thing feel more enveloping. On a dark wall the near-black areas in the artwork lose definition, so if your wall is deep green or charcoal, a framed version with a lighter edge helps.
