About This Art

Give it the hallway console. Most Halloween decorations live on top of the furniture, and by the third week they look like clutter. Hang this a hand's width above the console top instead and the painted ledge lines up with the real one, so the trio looks like it has climbed up there on its own. Pale grey or chalky white paint behind it works best. The orange lands warmer against a wall that quiet, and the beige ground blends into the plaster rather than fighting it. Keep the console clear. One bowl for keys, nothing orange nearby. A light wood or painted console suits it better than dark stained wood, which drags the cat into the shadows. It also stays up longer than you expect. Nobody takes it down on the first of November. On canvas the deep edge lets it hang without a frame, which suits a plain hallway wall.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will it look odd once Halloween is over?

Not really. The beige and grey ground does most of the work, and the orange reads as autumn as much as pumpkin. Most people leave it up until bonfire night or the end of November and swap it for something wintry after. In a hallway it passes as a still life rather than a decoration.

How wide should it be above a console?

Aim for roughly half to two thirds of the console width. On a 100cm console that means 50 to 65cm across. Hang it so the bottom edge sits a hand's width above the console top and the painted ledge lines up with the real surface. Go smaller and the three figures lose their presence from the front door.

Does the orange fight with a grey hallway?

Grey is the friendliest wall for it. The pumpkin is a muted burnt orange rather than a bright one, and grey walls make it glow without shouting. Avoid orange or terracotta paint, which swallows it. Keep other orange objects off the console and the single note carries the whole hallway.
