About This Art

Leave the feature wall blank if you like cautious rooms. This is a vintage William Morris textile study — Kennet — with trailing dark blue leaves, a mustard yellow sunflower and curling rose motifs across a chalky off-white ground. It brings instant heritage warmth, the kind of quiet pattern that makes a plain room feel considered and lived-in. Hang it above a sideboard, a writing desk or a hallway console where guests pass it slowly. It loves linen sofas, velvet armchairs, oak or walnut timber, brass fittings and painted panelling in sage, plaster pink or dusty blue. Avoid pairing it with strong contemporary graphics or loud abstract colour — the pattern wants to lead. Printed as canvas wall art, stretched over a wooden frame and ready to hang.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the deep blue and mustard yellow clash with sage or pink walls?

No — both pair naturally with this print. Sage green walls bring out the trailing leaves, and dusty pink walls warm up the off-white ground while the mustard sunflower acts as a bridge. The chalky paper background stops any of the colours feeling heavy, so the print sits comfortably against painted heritage tones without competing.

Is this wide enough to hang above a standard sideboard or console?

In a large size, yes. The trailing horizontal composition is built to span a piece of furniture below it. As a guide, aim for a print width around two-thirds of your sideboard or console width, hung roughly 15-20cm above the surface. In smaller sizes it also works above a writing desk or in a narrower hallway.

Will the pencil grid lines and corner letters A and B show clearly?

Yes — they are part of the design and reproduce faithfully. Kennet is shown here as Morris's working sheet, with the squared grid he used to plot the repeat and the small red letters marking pattern points. If you prefer a fully finished textile look, this particular piece may feel too sketch-like for you.
