About This Art

A black frame or a white one, and the room ends up in two different places. Black pulls the thick outlines together so the whole picture reads as one graphic block, which suits a hallway with a plain plaster wall and a run of coat hooks. White lets the off-white ground bleed into the wall and the lime and cobalt figures look as if they wandered on by themselves. Go black if you want it to hold a wall alone. Choose white if it sits above a low oak sideboard with ceramics already doing some talking. Either way, keep the wall colour quiet. Chalky white or pale grey gives the red its full volume. Hang it at eye level, not high. The figures stand at your height and that is the point. On canvas the frame wraps the edge and black gives the same graphic hold.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the colours fight with a mostly white and grey living room?

They will stand out, which is the job. A white or pale grey wall gives the lime, cobalt and red room to breathe, and the off-white ground ties it back to the wall colour. Repeat one of the colours once, a cobalt cushion or a red bowl, and the picture looks planned rather than dropped in. Keep other pattern in the room to a minimum.

Is it too much for a narrow hallway?

A narrow hallway is where it works best. The figures are upright and the composition is tall, so it suits a wall you walk along rather than sit opposite. At around 60cm wide it fills a hallway wall without crowding the coat hooks. Hang it alone and keep the wall a plain pale colour so the outlines do the talking.

Does it suit a child's room or is it for adults?

Both, honestly. The figures have a storybook quality that children respond to, and the bright blocks of colour hold up in a playroom or older child's bedroom. In an adult space it reads as modern naive painting rather than nursery art, especially in a black frame against a chalk-white wall. The difference is mostly what you hang it near.
