About This Art

Some bird prints match a room. This one resets its pecking order. The long tail runs almost the full height of the piece, so the wall it goes on stops being background and starts being the thing people look at first. Deep green and teal against warm cream reads calm from across the room and detailed up close, which makes it a good pick for a hallway or study wall you walk past daily. Hang it at eye level on a plain painted wall, or above a low sideboard where the tail has room to fall. Pair it with dark wood, aged leather and simple cream ceramics. Don't crowd it with other birds or busy botanicals — one strong subject per wall is plenty. On paper the fine pine linework and feather detail stay crisp.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the peacock's tail look cut off if I choose a smaller size?

No, the composition stays complete at every size — the tail runs to the bottom edge as intended. What changes is legibility. At smaller sizes the eye feathers and pine needles blur together from a distance, so if detail matters to you, go one size up and keep the wall around it clear.

Is it too dark for a small room?

It isn't, because most of the surface is warm cream rather than green. The deep greens are concentrated in the bird itself. In a small hallway or cloakroom that reads as one strong shape on a light ground, which tends to make the space feel more considered rather than heavier.

Does it suit a green painted wall or does that clash?

A deep or muted green wall works well — the cream background gives the piece enough separation so it doesn't disappear. Avoid a mid-tone sage that sits too close to the bird's own greens. If your green is very bright or yellow-leaning, off-white walls will be a safer backdrop.
