About This Art

Try it above the sideboard; the hard-edged blocks will do the editing. The room picks up an easy 1970s pulse without you having to chase the look anywhere else. Bright orange lifts cream walls and warms up cooler greys, while the chrome lines keep things crisp rather than cluttered. Best on a busier wall in a living room, study or hallway where you want a single confident statement. Pair with warm oak, tan leather, a cream bouclé chair, or a stoneware lamp in a rust tone. Skip placing it next to other transport prints or a second loud orange piece — it wants room to lead. The art print sits behind acrylic glazing, so the flat colour stays clean and the orange reads true.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the print show any subway signage, route numbers or branding?

No. The composition is purely a close-up of empty orange seats, chrome rails, cream interior panels and a pale mint window. There's no station name, route letter or transport authority logo, so it reads as a generic retro subway scene rather than a specific city.

Will the bright orange overwhelm a smaller room?

It's a confident piece, so in a small room it should be the main visual event. It works best on a wall with calm neutrals around it — cream, oak, soft grey — and a little breathing space either side. If the room already has other strong colour, scale down or move it to a hallway.

Is the composition centred or weighted to one side?

The seats and chrome rail run on a strong diagonal from lower left toward the upper right, with the pale mint window in the top corner. Hang it so it has more breathing room on the right, or centre it above a wide piece of furniture so the diagonal feels intentional.
