About This Art

A narrow hallway runs cold in most houses. Deep green does half the fix and rust red does the rest, so the wall warms up and the paint tin stays in the cupboard. Hang it on the strip between two doors, where the stems reach the floor line and the cat's head sits just above eye level. Off-white walls go creamy next to it. Grey walls go softer. Painted woodwork in a dark green picks up the ground and the whole corridor reads as one decision. Keep the lighting warm, one wall light or a bulb at 2700K, because a cool bulb pulls the pink out and leaves the red looking brick. Pink keeps the joke light. Give it 90cm of height and nothing else on that wall. On canvas the green ground reads like a painted panel, with no glass between you and the grain.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the green background disappear on a dark green wall?

No, and that is often the best way to hang it. On a forest or bottle green wall the ground merges into the paint, so the cream cat and the pink flowers appear to stand on the wall itself. Keep a thin pale frame edge or a black one so the picture still has a boundary, and light it warmly so the cream stays creamy rather than grey.

What size works on a hallway wall that is only 50cm wide?

Go as tall as the wall allows rather than as wide. At 40cm wide the piece runs 80cm tall, which leaves a 5cm margin each side and fills the strip properly. Hang the bottom edge around 90cm from the floor so the flower stems sit at waist height and the face lands just above eye level for someone walking past.

Is it too childish for a living room?

It depends on the rest of the room. The deadpan face and the deep green ground read as adult humour rather than nursery decor, so it sits comfortably beside a sofa in rust or green with plain cushions. It stops working next to lots of other pattern. Give it a narrow wall of its own, beside a window or chimney breast, and it holds the room without looking like a kids' print.
