About This Art

February is when this earns its keep. Gardens are bare, the light is thin, and a bedroom wall that looked fine in August suddenly looks like nothing at all. Hang a metre of summer canopy above the headboard and the room stops waiting for spring. Deep green does the heavy lifting against a plaster-pink or off-white wall. Sage bedding underneath, one linen throw, and no other green in the room. Width matters more than height here. Let it run the full span of the bed, hung low enough that the headboard almost touches it. Nothing else on that wall. By July it fades into the background, which is exactly right. In the dark months it is the only leaf in the house. On canvas the branches run right to the edge with no border to stop them.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the greens fight with a sage or olive painted wall?

A sage wall works if it is lighter than the print. The deep green in the branches then reads as shadow against it and the pale leaf tints lift off the surface. Olive walls are harder, because the khaki in the bark sits too close to the paint and the piece flattens. On olive, go for a white or oak frame to draw a line between the two.

How wide should I go above a king-size bed?

Aim for two thirds of the bed width, which on a UK king means around 100 to 120cm across. The branches need that reach to feel like a canopy rather than a picture of one. Hang it so the bottom edge sits a hand's width above the headboard. Any higher and the gap between bed and print starts to look like a mistake.

Does it work in a room with no garden view or north light?

That is where it does its best work. North light is cool and even, which suits the muted greens and stops the pale sky patches from washing out. In a room without a view, a wide canopy above the sofa or bed gives the eye somewhere to go. Keep real plants away from that wall so the two are not competing.
