Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Less than you'd think. The portrait has enough warm brown, soft pink and pale blue brushwork to hold its own against cream or off-white walls. If your walls are bright white, an oak or black frame will give it a firmer edge. On clay or warm-cream walls it sits in beautifully without disappearing.

Yes — the reproduction keeps the directional brushstrokes that define the original, particularly in the hat and the dashed background marks. On premium fine-art paper the texture reads as fine detail; on canvas the weave gives it more painterly depth. Either way the loose, hand-painted character is preserved.

The eyes look slightly off to the viewer's left rather than dead centre, so it doesn't have the full direct-stare effect. It reads as thoughtful rather than confrontational, which is part of why this self-portrait sits comfortably in studies and hallways without feeling like it's watching you.
