About This Art

First glance: warm rust and amber. Second glance: the autumn still life doing something smarter. Three pumpkins sit low in a tangle of falling leaves, with a museum-style border and signed William Morris caption holding the whole thing together like a proper exhibition poster.

Put it up and the room turns seasonal without going kitsch. The deep brown background pulls in warm timber, brass handles and anything woven, and the orange settles down rather than shouting.

Best spots: a hallway by the front door, a kitchen wall near a dresser, or above a sideboard in the dining room. It likes lamplight and slightly moody walls — clay, deep green, mushroom, smoky blue.

Pair it with oak, rush matting, stoneware and linen. A second botanical or a small game-bird study sits well next to it.

Don't drop it onto a cold bright-white wall under hard overhead light — the warmth flattens out and the whole thing loses its point. Printed on premium fine-art paper with rich, true-to-screen colour.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the orange feel too Halloween-y once October's over?

No — the orange here is rust and amber rather than pumpkin-bright, and the deep brown background pulls it into proper autumn earth tones. It reads as harvest and warmth, so it earns its keep from September through to the new year rather than feeling tied to one week in October.

Is the deep brown background going to feel heavy in a small room?

Less than you'd think. The soft off-white poster border around the image breaks up the dark mass and gives the eye somewhere to rest, so it works in narrow hallways and small dining nooks. If your wall is also dark, choose an oak frame to lift it slightly.

Does it need an autumn-specific room, or can it stay up year-round?

It can stay up. The palette is earthy rather than seasonal-novelty — rust, amber, deep brown, oat — so it sits comfortably alongside everyday warm interiors. Most owners leave it up; only those with a strict seasonal rotation swap it out in spring.
