Test it this way: if the living room feels safe, size up. This is a close-up of cracked earth and pale stone in warm brown and cream, with thin dark lines cutting across the surface. Hung large, it gives a flat room something to look at without adding colour or noise. It works above a sofa, on a study wall, or in a hallway where you pass it every day. Keep the company natural: oak or walnut furniture, linen seating, stoneware, a wool rug. Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Is it obvious what this is, or does it read as an abstract?
Up close you can see cracked earth, stone and fine dark lines. From a few steps back it reads as a warm brown abstract with a soft curved shape running through it. Most people see texture first and detail second, which is why it settles into a room rather than demanding attention.
Will the browns look muddy on a dark wall?
They can. The mid and deep browns sit close in tone to charcoal, chocolate or deep green walls, so the shape flattens out. On off-white, warm grey, clay or pale plaster walls the light cream areas separate properly and the dark lines stay sharp. If your wall is dark, go bigger and use a lamp nearby.
Does it need to be large to work?
It does better with size. The appeal is the grain and the hairline cracks, and those get lost in a small format. Large or statement sizes let the eye travel across the surface the way it would across a real stone wall. If you only have room for something small, pick it as one part of a group rather than a solo piece.
