About This Art

Early morning suits this one best. In a bedroom with east light, the sage ground wakes up pale and cool, and the pink flowers take on the colour of the sky outside for about an hour. By midday it settles back into wallpaper calm. Hang it above the headboard, wide enough to run edge to edge across a double bed, and the cranes keep the wall busy without any need for cushions. Oatmeal linen underneath, one painted bedside in a chalky green, nothing shiny. Evening lamplight is the other good hour. Warm bulbs pull the coral out of the blooms and push the grey-green back, so the whole thing reads softer at night than it does at noon. North-facing rooms lose a little of the pink. Everything else stays. On canvas the distressed ground reads like a painted panel, with no glass between you and it.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the sage green work with grey walls?

It depends on the grey. Warm greys with a hint of green or beige sit well with the sage ground and let the pink flowers come forward. Cool blue-greys fight it, and the coral starts to look orange against them. If your walls are a cool grey, a plaster-pink or putty repaint on that one wall fixes it, and the cranes look far better for it.

How wide should it be above a king-size bed?

Aim for between two thirds and the full width of the headboard. On a standard UK king that means around 120 to 150cm across. Anything narrower leaves bare wall either side and the panel reads as a picture rather than a wallpaper effect. Leave a gap of about 15 to 20cm between the headboard and the bottom edge so the two do not crowd each other.

Is the pattern too busy for a bedroom?

It is full from edge to edge, but the colours are quiet, so it settles quickly. The trick is to keep everything else plain. Oatmeal or white bedding, one cushion in a pink borrowed from the flowers, and no other pattern on that wall. In a room with floral curtains or a patterned rug it starts to compete, so choose one or the other.
