About This Art

October usually arrives in a carrier bag of plastic spiders. Skip all of that. Hang this wide above the sofa and let it be the only Halloween in the room. The cream ground does most of the work on an off-white plaster wall, so keep the rest of that wall bare, no shelf, no string of paper bats. One pumpkin orange cushion is enough. Two starts to look like a display. Black metal on a lamp base is the right amount of black, and a sisal rug or oat linen under it keeps the mood soft rather than spooky. Leave the purple fairy lights in the loft. Come November it stays up, because a kitten on a ledge outlasts the season in a way a skeleton never does. On canvas the thick brushwork reads as real texture from across the room, with no glass in the way.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will it still look right after Halloween?

Yes, and that is the point of choosing this over a graphic Halloween print. The cream ground and burnt orange read as autumn rather than as a date, and the kitten carries the picture once the pumpkins have gone from the shops. Most people who hang it in October leave it up until the spring bulbs come out, then swap it for something greener.

How wide should I go above the sofa?

Aim for two thirds of the sofa width. On a standard three-seat sofa that means at least 120cm across, with the bottom edge around 20cm above the sofa back. The figures are small against a big plain ground, so a narrow version leaves them looking like ornaments on a shelf. Width is what makes the wall calm down.

Does the orange clash with a grey sofa?

It depends on the grey. A warm greige or stone sofa works well, because the cream ground sits happily beside it and the orange becomes the one warm note in the room. A cool blue-grey sofa is harder, since the cream turns yellow against it and the orange starts to shout. If your grey is cool, put a warm white throw between them.
