About This Art

Seen beside oak cabinetry, the line-art food grid loses nostalgia and gains grit. The black on white reads as confident rather than cute, and the dish names sit like a tidy menu running down the wall.

The room tightens up around it. Cluttered worktops feel more deliberate. A busy spice shelf reads as character rather than mess. Even a plain white wall starts to feel like part of the kitchen, not an afterthought.

Hang it above a worktop, a small dining table, a sideboard or in a breakfast nook. Eye-level works, or a touch higher if it sits above a console.

Pair with timber, white tile, stoneware, linen tea towels and warm brass fittings. A few green plants in clay pots round it out.

Don't drown it in other graphic prints — one strong neighbour is enough. A black frame keeps the lines crisp on the paper.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the small text under each icon be readable from across the room?

The dish names sit clearly under each icon and read well from a couple of metres away, which is the typical distance in a kitchen. From a sofa or across a dining room the names soften, but the icons themselves still read as a tidy grid of recognisable shapes.

Does this look too clinical for a warm, lived-in kitchen?

The line work is clean but the layout is informal — a hand-drawn grid rather than a sterile chart. Hung near timber, ceramics or a busy spice shelf it reads as friendly rather than clinical. It works best when the wall around it has some warmth.

Is the grid centred or does it lean to one side?

The icons sit in a roughly centred grid with the bold title at the top, so the eye-line pulls slightly upward rather than left or right. That makes it easy to hang above a worktop, console or small dining table without the composition feeling off-balance.
