About This Art

A kitchen this pared back can take one serious soft pink. La Dolce Vita lands like a holiday memory — figs, wine, cheese and lemons spread across a sunlit tabletop, with green shutters cracked open onto a slice of sea.

The room warms up the second it goes on the wall. Soft pink lifts the light, the dark greens settle things down, and the orange of the fruit gives the room a bit of energy without turning loud.

It earns its place above a sideboard, a kitchen counter or a small dining table. Vertical format means it fits a narrow strip of wall between cupboards or windows.

Pair with pale oak, cane chairs, a linen runner and hand-painted ceramics. Terracotta and chalky white walls only push the holiday feel further.

Keep neighbouring art quiet — this one wants to be the thing you look at. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with optional real-wood framing.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the soft pink wall in the print clash with white or off-white kitchen walls?

It works fine. The pink is contained inside the picture and reads as warmth rather than colour spill. Against a chalky off-white or cream wall it actually warms the whole room up. The piece struggles more against cool grey or stark bright-white walls.

Is the Italian text on the print readable, and what does it say?

Yes — 'La Dolce Vita' runs across the top in a navy script and 'il dolce far niente' along the bottom. They mean 'the sweet life' and 'the sweetness of doing nothing'. Both are part of the design, not optional, and read clearly from a few steps back.

Does this work in a small kitchen, or does it need a big wall?

It works in small kitchens. The portrait shape fits narrow strips of wall between cabinets, beside a window or above a counter. Go for a medium size and hang it lower than usual so the tabletop sits near the eye-line when you're cooking or sitting down.
