About This Art

There's a reason Kamisaka Sekka kept returning to botanical studies; rooms still respond. The close-cropped leaves, soft pink fruit and pale lilac blossoms bring a quiet, hand-painted softness without feeling fussy. Hang it where the room already feels still — above a bedside table, a low console in a hallway, or a reading chair in a study. It sits well with pale oak, linen, cream plaster walls and stoneware in soft earth tones. Skip pairing it with loud graphic posters or anything in sharp primary colours; the charcoal and dusty greens want neighbours that whisper rather than shout. A black or warm brown frame keeps the antique feel; a white frame lifts it for lighter, more modern rooms.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the soft pink read as feminine, or is it more muted than that?

It reads as dusty and muted rather than sweet — closer to a pale blush against cream than a bright candy pink. The deep green and charcoal leaves do most of the visual work, so the pink lands as a gentle warm accent rather than the main colour story of the piece.

Will it work on a darker painted wall, or does it need a pale background?

It looks best on warm cream, off-white or soft stone walls where the pale ground of the print can breathe. On deep green or charcoal walls the cream background can feel like a bright rectangle. If your walls are dark, a wider mount and a black or warm brown frame help settle it in.

Is the composition busy or quite calm on the wall?

It sits in the middle — there's plenty going on within the leaves and fruit, but the close-cropped shapes and large cream areas keep the overall feel calm. It reads as a single quiet image from across the room and rewards a closer look, rather than competing for attention like a bold graphic poster would.
