About This Art

Every kitchen has a stretch of wall that gets ignored. Above the range hood, over the table, the gap between the top of the tiles and the ceiling. Too long for a clock, too short for shelves. A single wide picture solves it. The black ink holds its own against white metro tile and a worktop full of jars, and the cream ground matches most kitchen walls closely enough to look built in. Hang it low, so the bottom edge sits a hand above the table or the back of the bench. Give it the whole width. Those three tools read from across the room, and the wall stops looking like an afterthought. Keep spice racks and hooks off that run of wall. On fine-art paper, a black frame finishes the edge cleanly.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsibly
FSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the cream background look yellow against a bright white kitchen wall?

It reads as warm paper rather than yellow, and on a brilliant white wall it looks like an old sheet from a cookbook, which is the point. On off-white, pale grey or soft green walls it almost disappears into the paint and the black objects do all the work. Avoid hanging it next to a cool blue-white tile run if you want the ground to stay quiet.

How wide should I go above a kitchen table?

Aim for two thirds of the table length. For a standard six-seat table around 180cm long, that means roughly 120cm wide. Any smaller and the three objects shrink to the point where the grater and skillet lose their texture from the far side of the room. Hang it low, with the bottom edge about a hand above the table top.

Does it work in a kitchen with coloured cabinets?

Yes, as long as the cabinets carry the colour and the wall stays plain. Black and cream sit comfortably with sage, navy or deep green units and with wooden doors, because the drawing adds no competing hue. Against bright red or yellow cabinets it starts to look like a menu board, so keep it for kitchens where the colour is muted.
