About This Art

Think of it as Monet with less reverence and better instincts. The brushwork is loose and thick, but the view is easy to read: rooftops, church towers, sailboats and a wide blue river. Hang it and a flat, quiet room suddenly has a window in it — the blue cools the wall, the terracotta warms it, and the pink flowers do the shouting. It works above a sofa, at the end of a hallway, or between two windows where daylight keeps the colour honest. Pair it with linen, cane, pale timber and blue and white ceramics. Don't crowd it with other busy colour scenes; give it a plain wall and let one calm piece sit nearby. On canvas the thick brushwork looks closer to a painted original.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the detail still read at a smaller size?

Some of it will soften. The rooftops, river and pink flowers hold up well at medium sizes, but the small details — sailboats, church windows, the tiled panel — start to blur below around 40cm tall. If you want those to stay readable from a sofa or doorway, go large.

Is it too colourful for a mostly neutral room?

Neutral rooms are where it works best. Off-white, cream and pale plaster walls give the blue and pink somewhere to land, so the colour reads as a deliberate focal point rather than clashing. Keep nearby textiles and ceramics simple and let this be the loudest thing in the room.

Does the portrait shape work above a sofa?

Yes, as long as the sofa isn't very wide. Above a two or three-seater it sits nicely as a single tall anchor. On a long sofa, either size up or add one quieter companion piece to the side so the wall doesn't look bare either side of it.
