About This Art

Early morning is when this one earns its wall. The soft pink in the clouds catches the first light through east-facing curtains and the whole bedroom looks like it woke gently. By midday the lavender takes over and the ducks settle into a quieter register. Hang it above the bed, level with the top of a linen headboard, and leave the bedside tables plain. Pale plaster walls suit it. Warm white paint does too. Avoid a strong colour behind it, because the sky needs room to fade at the edges. In a north-facing sitting room the pink does a different job and lifts a grey afternoon. Either way, give it width. Two birds in flight want somewhere to go. On fine-art paper the pale sky keeps its soft grain.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the pink look too sweet in a grown-up bedroom?

It stays on the dusty side of pink, closer to plaster than to sugar, and it shares the sky with a lot of lavender and grey. In a room with off-white or blue-grey walls it reads as morning light rather than as a colour choice. Keep bedding plain and the effect is quiet. Pair it with bubblegum pink and it will tip the other way.

How wide should I go above a double bed?

Aim for roughly two thirds of the bed width, so around 100cm across for a standard double and wider for a king. At that size the lower duck sits just above the headboard and the sky spreads across the wall. Go much smaller and the birds shrink to a detail, and the piece stops doing the calming work you bought it for.

Does it work in a room with grey walls?

Yes, and grey is one of the better backgrounds for it. The blue-grey in the sky picks up a cool wall and the pink warms it, so the piece looks like it belongs rather than fights. Warm greys and greiges work best. A very dark charcoal wall will make the pale sky glow, which some people love and others find too stark.
