About This Art

Test it this way: if the living room feels safe, size up. A bold red cut-out shape on warm blush is doing the heavy lifting here, and it needs room to breathe.

What changes when it goes up: the wall stops being background. The red lifts everything around it — a beige sofa looks intentional, an old armchair looks chosen. The museum-style title underneath gives the whole thing a gallery feel without trying too hard.

Where to hang it: above a low sideboard, in a hallway with a single console, or on a quiet bedroom wall opposite the bed. It likes a bit of space either side.

What to pair with it: pale oak, linen, terracotta pots, a few stoneware mugs, plaster-finish walls. Anything natural and slightly soft.

What not to do: don't crowd it with busy florals or other strong reds — let it be the loudest thing in the room. Printed on premium fine-art paper, with framed options in real wood if you want the finished look.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the red feel too loud in a small room?

It's a strong red, but it's surrounded by soft blush and off-white, so the overall feel is warm rather than shouty. In a small room, go one size down and keep the surrounding walls and furniture quiet — neutral paint, pale wood, simple textiles. The red will read as a confident accent rather than an overwhelming one.

Is the museum-style text part of the artwork?

Yes — the words 'Papiers Découpés' at the top and the small caption underneath are part of the printed composition. It's designed to look like a gallery exhibition poster, which is part of the appeal. If you'd prefer the shape alone with no text, this isn't the right print.

Does this work better on its own or in a pair?

It carries a wall on its own and tends to look best as a solo hero piece. If you do want a pair, hang it alongside one quieter cut-paper print or a simple line drawing in a similar warm palette — never another strong red, which would split the focus.
