About This Art

First glance: chalky cobalt. Second glance: the poolside doing something smarter. The sky reads as one unbroken field of blue, and the white oleander, the lone palm, and the rippled turquoise water sit against it like cut paper — graphic enough to anchor a wall, calm enough to live with for years.

Hang it and the room exhales. Hard afternoon light feels softer; cool greys and pale woods suddenly have somewhere to look.

It works above a low sofa, at the end of a hallway, or on the long wall of a bedroom — anywhere the eye wants a window.

Pair it with linen, rattan, travertine, a single ceramic lamp. Keep the surrounding palette quiet so the cobalt can sing.

Don't crowd it with other saturated blues or competing tropical motifs — this one wants to be the view. Framed in clean oak or matte black, the fine-art paper holds every gradient in the water crisp and true.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

Made responsiblyFSC-certified wood and paper. Water-based, vegan inks. Crafted to order, so there's zero waste and zero guilt.

Beautiful Print with less than sturdy frame/hardware

I love the print itself but I believe the frame is plastic and the saw hooks on the back are very flimsy.

a high quality print

It’s a high quality print with a coordinating frame. The whole ensemble is lightweight and should be easy to hang, although I don’t care for the hangers installed on the picture. I prefer a single hanger—one **** hole in the wall, less worry about the picture hanging crooked. All in all, however, I am very pleased with picture.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the cobalt sky going to overpower a small room?

It's a saturated, unbroken field of blue, so on a short wall in a small room it will absolutely dominate — which can be the point. If you want it to read as a calm window rather than a statement, give it a generous wall (at least 60cm clear either side) and pair it with quiet off-white or warm neutral surroundings rather than other colour.

Does the composition work in portrait, or would I prefer it in landscape?

It's designed portrait-first: the single vertical palm, the tall sky, and the foreground pool stack into a clean vertical column. That's what gives it the 'open window' feeling. There isn't a landscape version that keeps the same balance — if you need landscape, look for a wider poolside scene with horizontal water.

Will the turquoise pool clash with warm wood floors and beige furniture?

No — that's actually where it sits best. The cobalt and turquoise read as cool accents against warm oak, walnut, travertine and linen, and the small dark green of the palm bridges the two temperatures. Where it does struggle is rooms already heavy in saturated teal, navy or tropical print — there it competes rather than lifts.
