About This Art

February is when this earns its keep. The garden is brown, the hall is dark by four, and a tall run of navy and orange fields on the wall does the job the window has given up on. Hang it at the end of a narrow hallway on a pale plaster wall and the rows pull your eye down the space the way a lane pulls you through a valley. Warm brown floorboards under it. A plain bench, nothing patterned within reach. Deep blue holds its own at dusk and the orange still reads warm under one pendant. Height matters more than width here. At a metre tall the fields stop being a picture and start being a view. Come June you will still want it. In February you will need it. On fine-art paper the peach ground keeps its soft chalky finish.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the orange fields clash with a navy sofa?

No, that pairing is the point. The print already carries navy in its deepest rows, so a navy sofa reads as a match rather than a rival. The orange then becomes the only warm note in the room, which is exactly what it needs to be. Trouble only starts if you add a rust rug or orange chairs as well. Keep the warm colour to the print and one cushion.

How tall should I go on a stair wall?

Go bigger than instinct says. On a stair wall the print is seen from below and at an angle, and the small striped fields need height to read as landscape rather than texture. A metre tall is the sweet spot for a standard landing, and it should sit so the middle is at eye level from the half-landing, not from the bottom step.

Is this too busy for a small hallway?

A small hallway is where it works best, provided it is the only thing on the wall. The tight rows of colour give a short corridor a sense of length, and the pale top band stops it feeling heavy. Keep the surrounding wall plain and light, leave the floor clear beneath it, and the busyness turns into depth rather than clutter.
