About This Art
No, the warm gold doesn't soften the room. It defines it. A whole wall takes its cue from that aged gold ground, and everything nearby starts to look warmer and more deliberate. Hang it where the room already has a natural focal point: above a sideboard in a dining room, on a hallway wall you pass every day, or on the wall facing the bed. It wants height and a little breathing space either side. Pair it with dark wood, velvet, brass or antique gold fittings, cane and simple stoneware. Keep the walls plain, cream or warm off-white. Don't crowd it with other patterned pieces or busy wallpaper, and don't hide it in a corner with no light. As a canvas it echoes the soft, painted-silk surface of the original.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?
Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.
When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.
Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?
Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.
You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.
How do I know what size will actually work in my space?
Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.
Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?
If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.
We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.
Will the gold background clash with warm white or cream walls?
It sits happily with cream, oat and warm white. The background is a soft aged gold rather than a bright yellow, so it reads as a warm tone next to painted plaster or limewash. On cool grey walls it can look slightly out of step, so if your walls are cool, hang it where lamplight or afternoon sun falls on it.
Does it need to go large, or will a smaller size work?
The long tail with its ringed feathers is the whole point of the composition, so give it room. Large or statement sizes let the tail read properly from across the room. Small sizes still work in a narrow hallway or beside a doorway, but the feather detail and the peonies become texture rather than a focal point.
The peonies are pink and deep red. Does that limit the rest of the room?
Not much. The pinks sit in the lower left corner and are balanced by the blue bird and the gold ground, so the piece reads warm rather than pink. Pull the deep red out in a cushion or a stoneware vase and leave the rest of the room neutral, and it settles quickly.
