About This Art

Instinct says a ghost belongs small, tucked in a corner as a joke. Ignore it. Hung at 60cm square or more above a child's bed, the cream ridges of paint read from the doorway and the whole wall turns into a bit of theatre. Small, it becomes a Halloween decoration. Large, it becomes the reason the room has a personality. The black ground does something useful too, it stops a white plaster wall looking bare without adding a second colour. Keep the bedding pale, grey or off-white, so the ghost is the only shape in the room. A hallway works the same way, one big square on the end wall where you see it from the front door. Nothing else on that wall. On fine-art paper behind acrylic glazing the paint ridges keep their edge.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the black background too dark for a child's bedroom?

Not if the rest of the room is pale. The ghost itself is cream and takes up a good share of the picture, so on a white or light grey wall the piece reads as one friendly shape rather than a dark block. Keep bedding off-white or grey and give it a window or a lamp nearby. In a very dim room with dark walls it will feel heavier.

What size works on a square wall above a bed?

Go bigger than you think. Above a single bed, 60 to 70cm square fills the space without crowding it. Above a double, 80cm or more keeps the ghost in proportion to the headboard. Below 50cm the humour shrinks and it starts to look like a seasonal decoration rather than the main event in the room.

Will it look odd once Halloween is over?

It holds up all year because the palette is plain black and cream, with none of the orange and purple that date seasonal art. In a monochrome living room or a child's room it reads as a playful figure first and a Halloween reference second. The thick paint texture also gives it something to look at long after the pumpkins have gone.
