About This Art

No, the black linework doesn't soften the room. It defines it. All that white space around the dog does the work of a window — it gives the wall somewhere to breathe, then pulls every eye straight to the middle. Hang it above a sofa, a low sideboard or a hallway console at eye level, where people pass close enough to see the fur drawn strand by strand. It sits happily with linen, pale wood, black metal and plain ceramics, and it holds its own on a chalky off-white wall. Don't crowd it with busy patterned pieces or heavy colour either side — the empty paper is the point, so give it room. As a canvas the drawing reads softer and matt, with no glazing between you and the linework.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the fine fur detail still show at a smaller size?

Yes, though it changes character. At a smaller size the coat reads as soft texture and the shape of the curled dog does the work. At medium and above you start seeing the individual pen strokes across the ears and tail, which is where the drawing is most rewarding. If you have wall space, go a size up.

Is this a specific breed or could it pass for my dog?

The drawing shows a cockapoo, with the shaggy coat, soft ears and short muzzle you would expect. Because it is drawn rather than photographed, it reads as a general shaggy doodle-type dog too, so cavapoo, cockerpoo and labradoodle owners often see their own dog in it.

How much bare wall does it need around it?

More than you might think. The white background is part of the picture, so if you hang other frames tight against it the composition closes up. Leave at least 15 to 20cm of clear wall on each side, or centre it above a sofa or console and let the furniture line frame it instead.
