About This Art

With an abstract painting study, scale decides whether the living room wakes up. Small, it reads as a quiet colour note; large, it sets the temperature of the whole room. The warm clay and blush tones pull heat out of cream and grey walls, while the deep plum corner gives the eye somewhere to settle so the room does not feel washed out. Hang it above a sofa, a sideboard or in a hallway where you pass it daily. Pair it with linen, warm timber and stoneware in earthy colours. Avoid crowding it with busy patterned cushions or a second bold abstract on the same wall — it wants a bit of breathing space. On fine-art paper the brush texture and dashes stay crisp and matte.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the pink tones look too sweet in a grown-up living room?

No — the pinks here are dusty and clay-based rather than bright, and the deep plum at the base stops it reading as girly. Against a warm white or mushroom wall it behaves like a neutral with heat in it. If you want it firmer still, keep the surrounding textiles in oatmeal, rust and warm brown.

Does it matter which way the crop sits on the wall?

Yes, keep it as supplied. The rows of cream dashes fall from the top right and the dark plum anchors the bottom left, so the composition has a built-in top and bottom. Hanging it centred over furniture lets that diagonal movement travel upward, which is what makes the wall feel taller.

Can I hang it in a room that gets very little daylight?

It handles low light well. The clay and terracotta tones stay warm under lamplight and the cream dashes keep enough brightness to stop the whole thing going flat. North-facing rooms and dim hallways suit it better than very bright, white-walled rooms where the softer pinks can wash out slightly.
