About This Art

What it adds isn't clutter. It's vertical tension in the right places. A single figure, a flowing striped dress, and a lot of quiet around her.

Up on the wall, the room calms down. The off-white background softens whatever you've got going on, and the inky stripes give the eye something to follow without shouting. It works the same trick a tall mirror does — adds height, adds order.

Hang it in a bedroom over a low chest, in a hallway between two doors, or above a reading chair where you want a single confident piece.

It likes pale oak, linen, bouclé, cream wool, and a bit of matte black hardware. Plaster walls, chalky off-whites and warm greys all sit beautifully behind it.

What to skip: heavy patterned wallpaper, glossy lacquer, and anything competing for the same vertical line. Let it be the only striped thing in the room. Printed on heavyweight fine-art paper with a soft matte finish.

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the print feel heavy or dominating in a smaller room?

It's high-contrast but the background is mostly off-white, so it reads as calm rather than heavy. In a small bedroom it actually opens the wall up. Just keep the surrounding surfaces quiet — no patterned bedding or competing artworks on the same wall.

Which way does the figure face — does it pull the eye left or right?

She's in three-quarter profile facing slightly to the left, with her head tilted down. That means the print works best on a wall where you approach from the right, or centred above furniture so the gaze leads into the room rather than off the edge of the wall.

Will it work in a warm-toned room, or does it only suit cool Scandi schemes?

It works in both. The black is a true near-black and the background is a warm off-white rather than a cool grey, so it sits happily next to pale oak, linen and chalky cream walls as well as cooler greys. Avoid pairing it with strong yellows or oranges right next to it.
