About This Art

Stainless steel turns a kitchen cold by about six in the evening. Hang this beside the cooker and the red fights back. Three chillis on a wall carry more heat than any hob, and the sky blue behind them stops the steel reading grey. Put it on the end wall of the units, at eye level when you stand at the worktop. Cream tiles underneath, a blue striped tea towel, nothing else red in sight. Give it room. At 40cm tall it reads as a painting, below that it becomes a recipe card. The peach in it warms up white cupboard doors, which is a job most kitchen art skips. Keep the cookbooks on the shelf below in blues and whites and the whole corner looks intended. On canvas the brushmarks sit right on the surface, with no glass to catch the steam.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the red clash with wooden kitchen units?

Pale woods are fine. Oak, ash and birch sit under the red without a fight because the peach in the painting leans towards them. Orange-toned pine is the one to watch, since the red and the wood start to compete. If your units are pine, hang it on a painted wall away from the doors rather than directly above them.

Does it work in a dining room, or only a kitchen?

It works in both, with one difference. In a kitchen it can sit close to the action at worktop height and feel part of the cooking. In a dining room give it more wall and hang it alone, because the red is strong enough to carry a table setting on its own. Blue painted chairs or a blue runner will tie it in.

What wall colour suits it best?

Off-white and chalky cream are the easy answers, since the sky blue reads clean against them and the red stays hot. A pale blue-grey wall also works and makes the painting feel like part of the room rather than a poster on it. Avoid deep teal or terracotta walls, which swallow the blue and dull the red.
