About This Art

Against warm terracotta stoneware, the burnt orange reads less sweet, more deliberate. This is a woodblock-style landscape of Uluru at dusk, with the rock face glowing warm above cool blue scrub and a soft violet sky.

Hung on a wall, it slows a room down. The horizon line gives the eye somewhere to rest, and the muted violet holds its own against off-white plaster or a chalky painted wall. It suits a living room above a low sideboard, a bedroom above the headboard, or a study behind a desk.

Pair it with oak or walnut timber, linen upholstery, and stoneware in warm earthy tones. Avoid crowding it with busy florals or high-contrast graphics — this piece wants a little breathing space.

We're serious about canvas art, ask away

From sizing to framing and print quality, Fab's art experts break it all down—so you can find the right art for your space.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

Still not sure? Contact our team with a photo of your space and we'll tell you exactly what size will work.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Will the burnt orange feel too warm in a cool-toned room?

The rock is warm, but the sky and foreground sit in cool violets and slate blues, so the print already bridges warm and cool. In a room with pale grey walls or blue upholstery, the orange reads as a single grounded accent rather than taking over. Repeat a touch of warm tone elsewhere — a stoneware vase, a leather cushion — to tie it in.

Is it recognisable as Uluru or does it read as a generic desert scene?

The silhouette is clearly Uluru — the long, low dome and the way the light catches the top half at dusk. If you know the Red Centre, it reads instantly. If you don't, it still works as a calm outback landscape without needing the caption, which is why it suits people drawn to the place and people just drawn to the mood.

What size works best above a standard three-seater sofa?

A large portrait sits well above a standard three-seater, with the bottom edge about 20cm above the sofa back so the horizon lands a little above eye level when seated. If your wall is wider than the sofa, you can flank it with two smaller quieter prints rather than sizing up, which keeps the rock as the clear anchor.
