Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
   
   
2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
   
   
3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

It works better in small rooms than people expect. The black ground actually recedes against a deep-painted wall, so the mushrooms and type float forward. Avoid hanging it on a bright white wall where the contrast can feel heavy — a deep green, navy or warm brown wall is where it really settles.

The text is part of the artwork — "Cotton Prints Exhibition", "William Morris", "Arts & Crafts Pioneer", the Underground roundel, and the exhibition dates are all printed on the piece. Plan placement so the type sits at a readable height, roughly chest level when standing nearby.

Quite the opposite — deep red and forest or olive green are a classic pairing, and the black ground keeps both colours grounded rather than competing. It looks especially good against a chalky deep green wall with brass and dark oak nearby.
