About This Art

Too much beige. Not enough warm fox-red. This fixes that. The little burst of russet against all that black line work gives a quiet room something to look at without shouting. Hang it where you walk past often — a hallway, the top of the stairs, the wall behind a reading chair — and the room stops feeling flat. It picks up oak, walnut, aged leather and linen, and it gets on well with old books, brass handles and a worn rug. Don't put it next to anything loud or graphic; the line work needs breathing room. Stretched on a wooden frame, ready to hang straight out of the box.

Are Fab canvas prints good quality?

Absolutely. We use museum-grade canvas (the same stuff galleries use) stretched over solid wood frames. The canvas is thick enough that you can't see through it, and we wrap the print around the edges so there's no white border it looks finished from every angle.

When people see it on your wall, they'll assume you bought it at a gallery, not online.

Does it come ready to hang? Is it available framed?

Yes to both. Every canvas comes stretched over solid wood and ready to hang - hardware's already on the back, just hang it up.

You can choose unframed (modern, minimalist look - the print wraps around the edges) or add our real wood frame for a more polished, gallery finish. Either way, it's ready to go straight on your wall. No assembly, no extra trips to the frame shop.

How do I know what size will actually work in my space?

Here's the rule of thumb: your canvas should take up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the width of your furniture (like a sofa or bed). So if your couch is 180cm, you want something around 100-120cm wide.

Too small of a canvas looks lost on the wall. Too big overwhelms the room. If you're between sizes, go bigger it's almost always better to have impact than to have something that disappears.

What's your return policy?

If it shows up and you're not happy with it, you have 99 days to return it for a full refund—no questions asked.

We've been doing this long enough to know that sometimes a piece just doesn't work in your space, and that's fine. Just email us and we'll sort it out.

Is the fox in colour or just black line work?

The fox itself has soft warm-russet tones across the face and ears, which makes it stand out from the surrounding botanicals. The leaves, stems and flowers around it are all done in fine black line work on a warm off-white background, so the colour sits in one focused spot rather than across the whole print.

Will this look too rural for a city flat?

Not really. The vintage exhibition-poster format — title at the top, listings at the bottom — gives it a museum feel rather than a country-cottage one. In a city flat with oak floors, linen sofa or a study corner, it reads as considered and bookish rather than cottage-cute.

Is the detail still readable at a distance?

From across a room you'll see the fox, the typography and the overall botanical frame clearly. The finer leaves and stems reward closer viewing — about 1 to 2 metres away — which is why a hallway or the wall above a desk suits it well.
