About This Art

Give the feature wall one hard decision, and let everything else relax. A red fox sits dead-centre inside a tangle of trailing leaves and folk-style flowers, framed by deep navy and edged with a clean off-white border carrying the exhibition lettering.

Put it up and the wall stops feeling polite. The orange fur lifts a room with lots of wood and linen, the dark background gives it weight, and the foliage stops it ever feeling like cute animal art. It reads as a proper artwork, not a children's print.

It earns its place above a desk, in a study, or on a hallway wall where people slow down to look. Eye-level, on its own, with a bit of breathing room around it.

Pair it with oak, walnut, soft linen, faded rugs and ceramics in earthy glazes. A reading lamp warms the orange in the evening.

Don't crowd it with other busy botanicals — one strong pattern at a time, and let this be the one. On premium fine-art paper, with framed options in real wood.

Printing, Paper and Frames

Quality you can see (and feel)
Printed using museum-grade giclée technology on thick, matte art paper - no glare, just soft, natural colour that looks beautiful.

The kind of detail and depth that makes people lean in closer. Hand-framed in solid FSC-certified wood. Never cheap MDF or plastic-y veneers.

Won't fade, even in direct sunlight
Premium acrylic glaze with UV blocking keeps colours vibrant for 100+ years. Hang it anywhere - bedroom, hallway, that sunny spot above the sofa - without worry.

Unbox, hang, done
Arrives framed with fixtures already attached. Two minutes with a hammer and your wall goes from blank to "where did you get that?"

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Does the fox look cartoonish or more like a proper painting?

It sits firmly on the painted side. The fur is rendered with shading and warmth, the eyes have weight, and the face has a knowing, slightly stern quality. It feels closer to a botanical illustration plate than a children's book character, which is why it works in adult rooms as well as a nursery.

How heavy does the dark navy background feel on a small wall?

Less heavy than you might expect. The deep navy is mostly framed by pale green foliage and a wide off-white border around the poster text, which lifts the whole piece. On a small wall it reads as a focused, jewel-like rectangle rather than a dark block. A pale wall behind it helps.

Does the text at the bottom dominate, or does the fox stay the focus?

The fox stays the focus. The lettering is clean and centred but sits in a generous off-white margin below the artwork, so it reads as a caption rather than the main event. From a normal viewing distance the eye lands on the fox first, then the foliage, then the text.
