How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
¿La lámina conserva el antiguo título alemán y el número de Tafel?
Sí. Se mantiene la tipografía original de Haeckel: el título 'Prosobranchia' en el pie, el subtítulo gótico y el pequeño número de lámina y crédito editorial en la parte superior. Forman parte del aspecto de página de museo y se leen como texto impreso fino en la pared, no como pies de foto que tengas que estudiar.
¿El fondo es un negro intenso real o más un carbón suave?
Se percibe como un fondo profundo, casi negro, con una calidez muy sutil, en lugar de un negro plano. Esa suavidad permite que las conchas en crema y gris destaquen. En una pared pintada oscura queda precioso; en una pared blanca el contraste es más nítido y gráfico.
¿Se verán bien las finas espinas y los surcos de las conchas en un tamaño pequeño?
Las formas principales y las espirales se leen bien en tamaños pequeños, pero las espinas más finas, el acanalado y la letra gótica se aprecian mejor en un tamaño medio o grande. Si quieres ver cada detalle desde un sillón o un escritorio, inclínate por el extremo superior de las opciones de tamaño.
