How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.
What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the blues look grey and flat on a north-facing wall?
They hold up better than you might expect. There is enough dusty purple and soft green in the picture to stop it reading as plain grey, though in low north light it will feel cooler and quieter. If your room gets little sun, keep the wall behind it pale and add a warm lamp nearby to lift it in the evening.
Is Notre Dame clearly recognisable in it?
The two towers are there, centre-left, but they are painted as soft purple blocks rather than detailed stonework. You read the cathedral by its shape and the river and bridge below it. If you want crisp architectural detail, this is not that kind of picture — it is a mood of the city rather than a record of the building.
Does it need a tall wall, or will it work above a sideboard?
Above a sideboard or console is one of its best homes, as long as you leave breathing room above it. The composition runs upward, so it wants around 25-30cm of clear wall between furniture and the bottom edge, and a decent gap above. Very low ceilings or a shelf directly overhead will squash it.
