How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
Will the soft blue-grey background look washed out on a white wall?
On a bright white wall the background sits very softly, which is the intent — it reads as a gentle wash rather than a bold block. If you want more definition, hang it against a chalky off-white, warm cream or pale putty wall, or choose a thin white or pale oak frame to give the edges a clean stop.
Is the composition balanced enough to hang on its own?
Yes. The village sits high in one corner and the small sailboat anchors the lower middle, so the eye travels across the open sea between them. It reads as a deliberate, quiet composition rather than an empty one — and that breathing room is what makes it feel restful above a bed or basin.
Does it work in a bathroom with steam and humidity?
A framed art print with acrylic glazing handles a normal family bathroom well, as long as it's hung clear of the shower and direct splash. For a wetter room or a small ensuite, the canvas version copes more easily. In both cases, keep it out of direct steam and away from open windows.
