How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

Not all frames are created equal. Many cheap frames are made with acidic materials or glazes that lack UV protection—meaning your beautiful print could fade, discolor, or deteriorate over time.

At Fab, we do things differently. Our frames are thoughtfully built to preserve and protect your artwork for the long haul. We use FSC-certified wood, 100% acid-free materials, and a UV-protective glaze to keep your print looking vibrant for decades.

That’s why our prints have an 80+ year archival lifespan—no fading, no yellowing, just art you’ll love for years to come.

If you're investing in art you love, it's worth framing it right.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Will the red and lemon clash with warm wood floors and tan leather?

No — that's actually the strongest pairing for this print. The pillar-box red and lemon yellow are sitting on a cream ground, so they read as deliberate accents rather than colour pollution. Tan leather and oak amplify the warmth without competing; the viridian rectangle becomes the cool counter-note that keeps the whole scheme balanced.

Is the negative space around the shapes meant to read as empty, or is it part of the composition?

It's load-bearing composition. The pencil shading, the half-drawn arc and the cream paper are doing as much work as the coloured blocks — Lundström was treating the whole sheet as a designed surface. Hang it with generous breathing room on the wall (at least 30cm each side) so that negative space can keep reading as intentional.

Does this work in a small room, or will the colour feel overwhelming?

It works in small rooms provided the rest of the scheme is restrained. Because the composition sits on a cream ground rather than a saturated background, the print doesn't visually crowd a space — but pair it with pale walls, natural timber and one or two textural neutrals. Avoid hanging it in a room already carrying busy pattern or strong competing colour.
