Quand le salon semble trop composé, ce paysage silencieux apaise. Klimt a peint le lac Attersee en 1900, et toute la surface vibre de minuscules touches vertes et bleu-gris qui paraissent bouger comme une eau réelle. Accrochée sur un mur sobre, l’œuvre atténue l’ambiance sans la refroidir et offre au regard un repos visuel. Elle fonctionne bien au-dessus d’un canapé bas, d’un lit ou d’un fauteuil de lecture, et se pose aisément sur des murs blanc cassé crayeux ou gris pâle. À marier avec du chêne clair, du lin, du laiton brossé et des céramiques délicates. Évitez de l’accrocher près de motifs criards, de couleurs primaires vives ou de bois sombre et massif ; la pièce a besoin d’un peu de calme autour d’elle pour faire son effet.

How do I frame an art print?
Good news—you don’t have to!
All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:
- Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
- We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
- Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
- Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.
Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?
It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.
Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:
- Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.
- Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.
- For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.
Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.
Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall
L'effet d'eau scintillante se lit-il encore à plus petit format ?
Les minuscules coups de pinceau sont ce qui donne à l'œuvre son aspect d'eau réelle, et ils se lisent mieux aux formats moyens et grands où la surface peut remplir votre champ de vision. À plus petit format, l'effet d'ondulation s'aplatit un peu et la surface commence à se lire comme un seul aplat vert doux. Si vous avez la place murale, préférez un format plus grand.
Cela s'accordera-t-il mal avec des meubles en bois aux tons chauds ?
La palette est plutôt froide — vert tendre, gris colombe et bleu brumeux — mais suffisamment atténuée pour s'associer au chêne pâle, au frêne et aux tons crème chauds. Ce sont le noyer foncé et l'acajou massif qui peuvent commencer à alourdir l'ensemble. Si votre pièce penche vers des tons chauds et sombres, accrochez-la sur un mur clair pour lui donner de l'air.
La composition est-elle trop vide pour un mur principal ?
C'est une composition discrète, mais pas vide. Toute la surface est travaillée par de petites touches, et le rivage sombre en haut à droite offre un point d'ancrage visuel. Sur un mur principal, elle se lit comme un point focal réfléchi et apaisant plutôt que comme un remplissage décoratif — mieux vaut lui laisser un peu d'espace autour.
