How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Les bleus foncés vont-ils assombrir ma chambre ?
Pas si le mur derrière est clair. Environ deux cinquièmes de l’image sont occupés par un ciel gris clair, donc la moitié supérieure allège le mur au lieu de l’alourdir. Le bleu sarcelle profond reste bas, à hauteur des oreillers, où il se lit comme de la profondeur. Gardez la literie ocre ou blanche et la pièce reste lumineuse avec un seul point d’ancrage fort.

Quelle largeur choisir au-dessus d’un lit king-size ?
Visez 120 à 150 cm de large. Un lit king au Royaume-Uni mesure 150 cm de large, et une image faisant deux tiers à presque toute la largeur du matelas paraît pensée pour l’espace plutôt que perdue. Accrochez-la de sorte que le bord inférieur soit à peu près à une largeur de main au-dessus de la tête de lit. En dessous de 90 cm, la texture épaisse de la peinture ne se lit plus bien de l’autre côté de la pièce.

Est-ce que cela fonctionne avec un canapé gris dans un salon ?
Oui, et le gris est son meilleur allié. Le bleu ardoise de l’eau se rapproche de la plupart des tissus gris, donc les deux se répondent au lieu de s’opposer. Choisissez une image d’environ deux tiers de la largeur du canapé et gardez les coussins en ocre, charbon ou blanc cassé. Évitez d’ajouter encore du bleu à proximité, sinon la mer perd son rôle de seule couleur forte.
