Le mur au-dessus de la tête de lit décourage souvent : trop large, trop bas, jamais le bon format. Cette affiche change tout. En un mètre de large, la rivière épouse la largeur d’un lit double tandis que le ciel pâle s’aligne à la hauteur des oreillers. Le sépia, posé sur un blanc cassé crayeux, diffuse une chaleur douce plutôt qu’une mélancolie, et adoucit un cadre de lit en chêne foncé qui s’oppose à toute touche trop colorée. Préférez du linge en lin, teintes avoine ou pierre. Une seule lampe. Inutile d’ajouter des coussins à motifs : les collines apportent déjà la texture au mur. Dans une chambre exposée au nord, la brume du paysage se fond avec la lumière naturelle — une chance rare. Imprimée sur papier beaux-arts premium, la douceur du ciel reste intacte, et un cadre en bois brun renforce l’allure de dessin ancien.

How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Une image brune va-t-elle assombrir ma chambre ?
Pas celle-ci. Près d’un tiers de l’image est composé d’un ciel et d’une eau blanc cassé pâles, donc la tonalité générale se situe plus près du beige chaud que du brun. Sur un mur blanc ou blanc cassé, elle apporte de la lumière plutôt que du poids. Ce qui peut la rendre plus lourde, c’est un mur vert foncé ou bleu marine dans une pièce aux petites fenêtres, alors gardez le mur clair si la lumière est faible.

Quelle largeur choisir au-dessus d’un lit double ?
Visez une largeur couvrant environ les deux tiers à la totalité de la tête de lit. Pour un lit double standard au Royaume-Uni, cela signifie environ 100 à 135 cm de large. Plus petit, et la rivière et les collines au loin se fondent en une bande brune vue de l’autre bout de la pièce. Le format 2:1 garde une hauteur modeste, donc même à pleine largeur il n’encombrera pas le plafond.

Convient-elle aussi à un salon qu’à une chambre ?
Oui, au-dessus d’un canapé elle fonctionne de la même façon, en remplissant le long espace bas qu’un tableau carré laisse vide. Elle convient aux pièces avec cuir, bois sombre ou tapis en laine écru ou gris. Dans un salon très coloré en coussins et plaids, elle peut paraître un peu sombre, donc elle est au mieux là où les textiles restent neutres.
