How do I frame an art print?

Good news—you don’t have to!

All of our prints are available professionally framed and ready to hang, so you can skip the trip to the framing shop and get straight to the fun part: styling your space. Here’s more info about our frames and service:

  • Your choice of timeless frames - natural wood, black, white, brown, silver and, of course, gold.
  • We use shatter-resistant acrylic glazing keeping delivery costs down and shielding your print from fading or sun damage—something cheaper glazes just don’t do.
  • Every frame is carefully sealed on the back using acid-free, archival tape —keeping dust and moisture out and your print beautifully preserved.
  • Hanging hardware already attached so just unbox, hang, and enjoy.

Prefer to frame it yourself? That’s totally fine too—we offer unframed prints in standard and A-sizes that fit most frames you can buy.

What makes Fab frames so good?

How do I hang art prints?

It’s easier than you think—especially since our framed prints arrive ready to hang straight out of the box.

Here’s how to do it in a few simple steps:

  1. Pick a wall that needs a little love—above a sofa, bed, desk, or entryway works great.

  2. Make sure the space suits the size of your print (our size guide can help). Use painter’s tape or a pencil to mark where you want the top of the frame to sit.

  3. For single prints, aim for eye level (around 57–60 inches from the floor). Every Fab framed print comes with hanging hardware already attached.

Use a picture hook, nail, or adhesive wall strips, depending on your wall type and the weight of the frame. That’s it—your space just got a whole lot more beautiful.

Bonus tip: For a gallery wall, lay your prints on the floor first to plan your layout before committing to the wall

Is the blue in this as bright in real life as it looks on screen?

Yes, this is a genuinely bright, saturated blue rather than a soft washed-out sea. It's the loudest thing in the picture, and it will read strongly across a room. If your walls are off-white or pale grey it looks fresh and clean. Against strong warm colours it will feel much bolder.

Will it look odd in a home nowhere near the coast?

Not at all. The shapes are simple and graphic, so it reads as colour and composition first, sailing scene second. It works in a city flat hallway or a plain living room just as well as a seaside cottage. Keep the furniture nearby simple and it never feels themed.

Does the square shape work above a sofa or sideboard?

It does, as long as you go large. A square sits best centred above a low piece of furniture with clear wall on both sides. Above a wide sofa, choose the biggest size you can so it doesn't look small and lost, and leave a hand's width of gap above the back cushions.
